Leroy Anderson (pronounced le-ROY) wrote several legendary classical-pops pieces that remain popular, many of which he also arranged for wind band.  Among them are Sleigh RideThe Irish WasherwomanBugler’s Holiday, and Belle of the Ball.  June 29, 2008 marked the centennial of Anderson’s birth, and so our performance of Belle of the Ball will help to celebrate that milestone.
